Background

Built on the mound. Refined in coaching.

Yashuan Santiago grew up the way most pitchers do — with a love for the game and a competitive edge that pushed him to chase every rep. That work ethic took him to Patrick Henry Community College in Virginia, where he pitched for the Patriots from 2014–2016.

In 2015 he was named to the All-Region 10 team and earned All-American honors. The following year, Baseball America listed him as the #20 MLB Draft prospect in the state of Virginia for the 2016 draft cycle.

After his playing career, Yashuan turned his focus to a different kind of mound — the one young pitchers stand on. He has spent the last six years coaching and three years giving private lessons, working with players ages 7 through 18 to build mechanics, command, and game-day confidence the right way.

Today, based in Pendleton, IN, Yashuan trains youth pitchers with a system rooted in arm health, repeatable mechanics, and the mental approach he learned at the highest amateur levels of the game.

How We Coach

Core principles

Arm Health First

Every plan is built around protecting young arms — not chasing radar-gun numbers.

Mechanics Over Velocity

Clean, repeatable mechanics produce both velocity and command. We build the foundation first.

Mound Mindset

Confidence comes from preparation. We train the mental side as hard as the physical.

Long-Term Player

We coach the kid first, the pitcher second. Burnout is the enemy of development.
